In an interview with Spot, an online publication covering business, economics, finance, technology and entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan, we talk about Archiquad and the company’s development. The interview covers the company’s early projects, work with private interiors, the transition to architectural design and commercial real estate, as well as international projects.

In the article, Archiquad co-founder Bakhrom Khodjaev explains how the company gradually shifted its focus from the private sector to larger-scale architectural projects and corporate clients. Today, Archiquad works on around 50 projects a year, with the company’s development driven primarily by the growing scale and complexity of its projects.

A separate part of the article focuses on Archiquad’s work with international brands, including Porsche, Huawei, Samsung and UNDP. For such projects, Archiquad works with international standards and adapts them to local conditions while finding solutions within established requirements.

Bakhrom also discusses why the operation and maintenance of a building should be considered at the design stage. Technical spaces, logistics, maintenance and other seemingly minor decisions can directly affect how effectively a building functions over time.

The next stage in Archiquad’s development is moving towards a full-cycle approach to working with buildings. The company already participates in site analysis, helps define the function of future developments and provides design services. Going forward, the team plans to expand its involvement into construction and the subsequent operation of buildings.
